Beans Birthday Recap

Beans had a pretty great birthday... check out some of his gifts!

{a GIANT rawhide bone, a rope bone + another toy I forgot to
include but we'll give a try & share later this week.... }

While Beans was very patient for his gifts....

Frank was READY (whose birthday was it again.. oh right.. BEANS)...

 Beans got RIGHT to business with the rawhide bone, taking it into his cage for safety...

Yes... the bone is actually longer than Beans... 

He loves rawhide so much we figured why not get him a giant one to save a few trips to the pet store :)
Of course Frank also seized the opportunity once Beans walked away from the bone.... they're going to have to learn to share...

A gift for Beans!

So on Tuesday it was Beans adoption anniversary! Yesterday we saw some of Beans best moments from his first year ... today we're sharing the little gift we got Beans (as if he even knew there was a reason to celebrate)...

A new rawhide bone!!!

Beans was occupied with his new toy ALL NIGHT.. and looked like a hot mess after we (sadly) had to take it away from him.. 

And of course you can't get one dog a toy and not the other, so Frank got a toy too.. a stuffing-free bird with not one but TWO squeakies!

Time to go to the park again!

Sooo.. we've got a long weekend coming up and Frank is hoping the weather is good enough that we can take a trip to the park...

....he just wants to play fetch again!!!
We are going to take a day or two off so we'll be back next week...

Leave-it Monday

It's Monday.. and nobody is happy about it. When asked how he feels about Monday, want to know what Frank had to say about it?

{Yes, we recognize how filthy the toy looks.. trust us, it's been in the washer many times.. }

It's about as bad as putting a FAVORITE toy in front of him and playing "leave it" ....

"You guys are really just going to make me sit here like this? AHHH"

but THEN you find out its a 4-day work-week ... and it's just like saying "OK... go ahead!!"

"Yyyyessssss!!!!! ... FINALLY!!"

(and THEN you remember that Opening Day is only a week away.. and your week gets EVEN BETTER!!!)

New toy!

A trip to the pet store means a toy for the boys!
This time its a toy for Beans, who always finds a way to destroy all the other toys we get him because he loooves to chew. So what do you get a dog who loves to chew? A rawhide bone!

Beans won't let this thing out of his site... because the one time he did Frank took the opportunity to snatch it up and have his time with it.

Clearly Frank is not too happy about this situation and is all of a sudden not happy with any of his other favorite toys...

He'll get over it...

Sunday afternoon at the park

It was such a nice day yesterday that we couldn't help but spend some time at the park!
When we've gone in the past Beans hasn't been much for chasing toys, but this time he was all over it!

We brought one of Frank's favorite squeaky toys and let Beans have at it. We threw it across the soccer field and called him to bring it back. It took a few tries but he got the hang of how to carry it back without dropping. He was having blast!

{he wore his Thunder Shirt because let's just say Beans has been pretty nervous lately when we go out.. he doesn't mind and seems a lot calmer in it when its on. We call it his "confidence shirt" ... }

Frank on the other hand is a seasoned PRO at playing fetch at the park.

And then it was time to play fetch with both boys at the same time.
Ready... set..... GO!

Video time!

Ok.. it's a first for The Daily Frank & Beans.. a video of Frank! This is a test to see how things go.. and if they go well then we'll try to post more!

This is from over the summer when we took the boys to a park. One of Frank's favorite things to do at the park is chase after his blue squeaky toy. He loooove this toy. Check out the floppy ears as he runs!!! And look at that speed!!!

Valentine's Day Card update

So remember those cards Frank & Beans got for Valentine's Day?

The ones they had little-to-no interest in after we gave them?

They're almost devoured!
Frank & Beans can't get enough of there cards... they chew on them any chance they can get!

While he may look all calm and collected ... this picture took Beans (and us) a lot of patience...

Beans' card is almost all chewed down... so his will get taken away soon but I think we'll get some more for these guys to enjoy.

Frank & Beans Christmas Recap!

So we're almost 2 weeks past Christmas but better late than never, eh? Frank and Beans are probably two of the most spoiled dogs on the planet.. just sayin' cause they had a great Christmas. Let's get started!
Frank was way more involved in the gift opening process than Beans who preferred to sit back and relax...

 First up...

a new Bobo for Frank!!

He was puuuuumped...

As seen in the first picture, Beans got a new dog bed just like Franks!! AAAND he loves it...
First, testing it out...

....and then chillin' in it later that night. One of his new favorite spots to hang out around the house...

"Ahhhhh this is the life..."

They also got this chicken-flavored plastic (?) bone thing to chew on.  It's mostly for Beans because hes quite destructive with any type of stuffed toy, but so far Frank has shown the most interest in it..

And then there were these little mint-flavored treat thingies I saw at the pet store. I thought it would be an AWESOME idea for a mint-flavored treat to help with their stinky breath... 

... negative. 

Frank won't even give it a try... Beans will nibble at it but I'm sure he'd prefer some carrots or green beans as a treat instead. 

OH WAIT... and whats this that Frank is hiding?? Looks like something we've seen before...

Frank's Girlfriend

Ladies, I hate to break this news, but Frank is off the market. That's right he's got a girlfriend. He and "Miss Thang" have been dating since last Christmas when she joined our family.
You may have seen her in some previous posts, and she will may even poke around in future posts....  she seems to get around ;)

Notice the girly eyelashes... 

And the pink toe nails... 

 She's quite a lady... always right by her man's side..... 

Now I will say that as time goes on, she does get a little more worn. Frank can be a little rough with her sometimes, but its all out of love... 

There is a twist to this love story, however, and we hope to share it with you soon (let's just say we may have a love triangle going on in our household....)
