Well.. a familiar friend of Frank's is no more....
Frank's girlfriend has officially bit the dust.
She usually hangs out in his cage with him but for a while she was on top of a bookshelf. Well, one afternoon recently we were getting ready to head out, put the boys in their cage and I threw the girlfriend in for Frank. Clearly Frank was not happy that we were leaving and decided to take his aggression out on his girlfriend. We got home to a giant pile of stuffing in the corner of his cage.
The girlfriend is officially toast.
Here are some favorite memories of Frank's GF :
{for the full effect I suggest playing this song and scrolling through ... }
We will be on the hunt for a new girlfriend (Frank has a "birthday" coming up soon anyways) - so he will only be without for a short while.
So apparently the dog with eyebrows was a huge hit yesterday. We got a lot of people telling us how funny it was (I bet it made you laugh all day too, right??). I bet some of you went home, looked at your dog, and wondered what he/she would look like with eyebrows, right?
SO.. why not give it a try? Send us your picture (check the contact page) by next Wednesday and I'll post 'em up at the end of next week! Come oooon do it!! It'll be fun!!
Get creative with your eyebrows.. there are plenty of ways to give dogs eyebrows! {if I had any prizes I'd even give some out!!.. but I don't have any prizes... :( }
Who knows.. maybe we'll even try and give Frank or Beans some eyebrows :)
Found these older pictures from last year of Frank & his girlfriend just chillin...
He's quite the resourceful dog when it comes to comfort, wouldn't you agree?
His girlfriend doesn't look that comfortable, though.... hope she's OK...
I was looking through some pictures from last year and came across these. We had bought a frozen cake and threw the box on the floor to put in the recycling bin later. While we were eating the cake in the other room and heard a noise in the kitchen...
Someone seemed to be having some issues...
"I'm going to try some of this too... it smells DELICIOUS.. it's got to be in here somewhere"
"Whoopsies.. "
"Ugh.. what was that..."
"Hmm...Maybe I'll just take this in the other room"
"Awww maan!! Wasn't me! It was her!!!"
Unfortunately for Frank there was nothing in the box.. poor guy :(
So last summer, Frank & Beans decided they wanted to see what it was like to be a bird...
... and they ate Rudy's food...
They found the bucket of pellets on a low shelf and decided to help themselves.
Frank & Beans were so proud of their accomplishments at first.. and then it set in ....
Beans wasn't really phased by the whole experience ... but lets just say Frank was hurtin' later that day .... and the next...
Yes, he was actually laying in his cage like this afterwards...
It's Valentine's Day... and we had a little photoshoot! Frank & Beans even dressed up for the pictures in their bow ties... how fancy!
After a few pictures Frank got a liiiittle bored...
When we put them down Beans went RIGHT for Jerome. Frank was pretty good about sitting all nice and pretty... (although very focused on the safety of Jerome)
...and there was a lot of patience from Beans in this one (there was a lot of "Leave it!" and "No!"s being said in this shot... and you can just see the excitement building up in Beans...
For Valentine's Day we got the boys a little gift... edible rawhide Valentine's Day cards!!
I can't tell you how excited I was to give the boys these cards.. SO excited!
So what did the boys do when we gave them their cards??
Nothing.... just sniff 'em ....
After a few minute Frank started to chew at one... Guess we'll see what happens over the next few days...
In honor of Groundhog day tomorrow, we here at The Daily Frank & Beans decided to post about.. groundhogs! What do groundhogs have to do with Frank & Beans? you ask? Well... plenty!
Remember this sexy lady...
As you can tell, she's not that sexy anymore This is Frank's girlfriend who has been very well loved.
For Christmas we got Frank a new friend.. not sure if its really a girl (pet store didn't have any with pink nails or pretty eyelashes :( bummer ...), so we are calling it his buddy/partner/companion.
Everyone, meet Jerome
"Hi Rudy!" :)
(sorry for the fuzzy pic. loved the angle with Rudy in the background)
Frank got Jerome as a Christmas gift and right away took him to his cage to bond
Why the name Jerome? We. have. no. clue... but thats what it is, so when we refer to Jerome, you know we'll be talkin' about this fella'
Jerome takes residence in Franks cage which is always locked up, because when it's not, this happens...
Let's just say that Beans is a little too rough with stuffed critters, and if we leave him alone with them, they will be ripped apart with stuffing on the floor within 5 minutes.
SO.... since Jerome is quite groundhog looking(-ish?) we have decided to feature him on this fabulous Friday and ask the question ... will Jerome see his shadow come Saturday morning? Leave a comment on Frank & Beans Facebook page with your vote!
So we're almost 2 weeks past Christmas but better late than never, eh? Frank and Beans are probably two of the most spoiled dogs on the planet.. just sayin' cause they had a great Christmas. Let's get started!
Frank was way more involved in the gift opening process than Beans who preferred to sit back and relax...
First up...
a new Bobo for Frank!!
He was puuuuumped...
{aaaand that concludes the actual gift opening pictures.... }
As seen in the first picture, Beans got a new dog bed just like Franks!! AAAND he loves it...
First, testing it out...
....and then chillin' in it later that night. One of his new favorite spots to hang out around the house...
"Ahhhhh this is the life..."
They also got this chicken-flavored plastic (?) bone thing to chew on. It's mostly for Beans because hes quite destructive with any type of stuffed toy, but so far Frank has shown the most interest in it..
And then there were these little mint-flavored treat thingies I saw at the pet store. I thought it would be an AWESOME idea for a mint-flavored treat to help with their stinky breath...
... negative.
Frank won't even give it a try... Beans will nibble at it but I'm sure he'd prefer some carrots or green beans as a treat instead.
