Play time at the courts

A park was recently finished near our house, and it includes a few gated in tennis courts... PERFECT to let our chiefs run around in!!
Frank LOVES to chase his toy around .... and Beans could spend hours just circling the perimeter of the court... Here are a few pics from a recent trip!

Frank LOVES chasing this blue toy around so much that he INSISTED on hanging onto it the entire walk home once.... the.entire.walk.home. Of course this included some stops where he'd set the toy down but lasted about .5 seconds for fear that Beans would snatch the toy up...

We got a few pictures just like this while we were on our Euro trip...

You'd think it was because when shining through the windows, it provides a little extra warmth.... and maybe it does... in most cases.
That would be awesome if the windows in our home provided some warmth, but they were replaced a few years ago aaand do not. These guys don't have to know that though...

Mohawk Wednesday

We still exist! Can you believe it? After another few weeks of no posts (sorry guys...) here we are.... 

The "computer difficulties" mentioned like a month ago (WOW!) have turned into "need to get a new computer" ... SO if there are any F&B fans out there who happen to have an extra iMac, MacBook Pro, Photoshop, you name it.. ..... just let us know ;) For now, though, we'll work with what we've got... 

ANYWAYS, onto the important stuff... a couple of weeks ago, Beans got a hair cut!!! He was in MAJOR need of it too...

... buuut we're going to call this haircut a miscommunication because poor little Beans lost the mohawk down his back! 

I guess when specifying that "We really like his mohawk so keep that long" I forgot to include "...all the way down his back" ... whoops! 

BUT Beans is rockin' a pretty sweet mohawk on top of his head, wouldn't you say?

Frank was pretty depressed while Beans was out... 

... but he quickly got over it once Beans returned. 

The good news is, we've got a few post lined up for the coming weeks (!!!). They may be out of order buuut it's better than the cricket noises going on over here lately, right? :)

We're back!!!

We're back!!!

Ok, well.... kind of...

So remember a few weeks ago when I said we had some things going on for a few weeks?
Well, we went on a 2.5 week to Europe...

... without the chiefs.... [I know...]

We just got back over the weekend and are ready to get back to posting!!!

... which would be AWESOME if we had the chiefs with us...

Currently they're livin' the high life up in Toledo for another few days.

Can I just tell how how depressing/sad/quiet it is without them & Rudy around the house? :(

The sad thing is, I think the chiefs really thought they were going with us on the trip...

(when are  we going to tell them they're not coming?)

Fit in a carry on bag? Check!!

They even helped us pack!!!

Ok so funny/cute story..... a few days before we left I was packing my suitcase... folding things up and trying to bring as many clothes as possible without exceeding the luggage weight limit ....
I turned around to put more things in my suitcase... and LOOK WHO'S MAKIN' HIMSELF ALL COMFY ....

I didn't even stage this. .. it all just happened...

Then Frank got curious...

... and Beans got sad...

When it was time to go up to Toledo they just thought they were going on a car ride to the park ... all excited...

Little did they know that they weren't :(

But I think they're still having a good time in Toledo right now...

We're glad to be back, and will be even happier when the boys are all back in the house and we can get some new stuff posted (like Beans and his crazy hair.. guess who's already got a date comin' up with the groomer? yupp....).

We're still here!!

Hey there everyone! Soooo Frank & Beans have gotten quite a bit of fan mail over the past couple of weeks asking what's going on.... we apologize for the lack of posts. We go from daily to "a couple times a week" to "nothing for over 2 weeks"
No worries... we're still here!!!

Along with some computer technical difficulties, we (Frank & Beans humans) have been CRAAAZY busy these past few weeks, and it's not going to get much better for at least another 2-3 weeks :( BUT, come mid-September (once our "crazy weeks" are done), we've got a few fun posts planned so stay tuned!!

We promise we will resume to a more normal schedule in a few weeks but bear with us until then! We will try {keyword: try} to do some more occasional photos on Facebook so look for us on there!

Celebrity Dachshund -- meet Crusoe -- a crazy short haired dachshund who likes to dress up and go on LOTS of adventures. F&B are lucky we don't have time to dress them up like Crusoe.... (you'll see what we mean....)

{now the only rule about this is, you all have to promise that F&B's blog will ALWAYS remain your favorite, though}

Oh yes - and for those who are wondering how Beans is doing sans some teeth - he's doing AWESOME... back to chewing his rawhide like crazy. He's also really enjoying snackin' on carrots like he used to - it was a little rough for a while!

Update on Beans

The chiefs had a great weekend full of walks, fetch the toy (mostly Frank) aaaand naps (no surprise with that..).

So how's our little Beans doing??

AMAZING!

Beans is doing so well since his little visit to the vet on Thursday. We're thinking he's still a little sore, as he isn't showing much interest in his rawhide bones yet, but hopefully later this week he'll be tearin' them up.
Until then we've been giving our little chief some chicken broth ice cubes (kinda like PUPSICLES!)

Of course Beans isn't showing too much interest in them after about 30 seconds of licking...

(Fancy Feast?? :: ding ding :: )

But don't worry guys... Frank doesn't let anything go to waste. 

He's got this under control... 

Also, Frank & Beans want to give a special Happy Birthday shout out to the one and only BRINKLEY!!! Happy Birthday Brinks!!! (you may remember Brinkley as the ONLY other participant in the Dog Eyebrow Challenge...)

Beans Special Adventure

For anybody who saw on their Facebook page last night, Beans had a little "adventure" yesterday... although I don't really know if "adventure" is the right word.
Yesterday, Beans spent some time at the vet/dentist/tooth fairy's.... our poor little chief had to have some of his teeth pulled.

11 to be exact.

We found this out last month on a trip to the vet for a yearly checkup. We set the date for the "extraction"... and then I went around feeling really bad for our little guy.

So the big day arrived. I let Ben be the "bad guy" and drop Beans off in the morning...

SAFETY FIRST! Gotta wear that seatbelt! 

Poor guy had no idea what was about to happen... 

... later in the afternoon it was time to bring Beans home. When I got to the vet's place, guess who greeted me at the door.. BEEEAAANS! I was told that Beans was probably already feeling better because some of his teeth were infected and were probably causing him pain.
Beans can continue to eat all his favorite foods without a problem... AND still enjoy his favorite rawhide bone.

Frank was SO happy to see Beans strut in the door after having spent all day by himself :(

After inhaling his dinner (with a few extra kibbles compliments of Ben), Beans spent much of the night curled up in his cage (and Frank's... for some reason he likes Frank's cage better...). He did enjoy watching the Detroit Tigers SWEEP the Indians AT Cleveland though... as did Frank... OF COURSE.

We'll see how he does over the weekend and try to give an update some time next week.

Wiener Dog Nationals

F&B took a few days off last week in celebration of their blog's 1-year-birthday. Now we're back!!
Over the weekend we did a few walks... Beans has the Mr. Cool look going on with his wind blown hair..

Frank, as usual, played the leader of the walk...

We need to share updates with the double leash  again...
Aaaand afterwards the pooches were pooped... .

1-year Anniversary! + some changes

We did it! Today marked the 1-year anniversary of The Daily Frank & Beans first post!
We can't believe that we actually kept up with this for an entire year! I'm sure others are impressed too (I mean really... how many pictures/posts can you make up about your dogs...). Maybe we'll try and do a round up of some of the top and most memorable posts over the last year. (if you have a favorite... let us know!!!)

This past weekend Frank & Beans joined us on another trip to Toledo. Let's all give Frank a hand for making it the whole way without getting sick!!!

The chiefs were definitely NOT on their best behavior while in Toledo. Let's just say that when we got home from the Tigers game on Saturday night, the boys had made quite the mess in the kitchen and living room (looks like they had a lot of fun). 

Now, since we have hit the 1-year mark of DF&B we are going to make a few changes.... The Daily Frank & Beans is going to change names to something like The Adventures of Frank & Beans because we are no longer going to do posts on a daily basis (and you can't call something "The Daily..." if it's not daily, right??). We've already mentioned this to a few favorite fans and they are not too happy with it... sorry guys ...

We will share the official name when we finalize it (hopefully soon!). If you have any suggestions let us know!!

We are still going to do a few posts a week (including some occasional Frankly Speaking, Funnies from Beans & Random Rudy Takeovers), just probably not daily. We are also going to try and post more pictures on Frank & Beans Facebook page on a regular basis... so if you aren't a fan yet... Like them!!!

 We hope everyone has enjoyed this past year with Frank & Beans and will continue to! Happy Monday!!

Of course everyone knows by now that the chiefs are HUGE Tigers fan. This is a clip from over the weekend where a base runner actually tagged himself out... yep Tigers are that good...
