The chiefs have this thing about laying in the sun... (What dog wouldn't?)
We got a few pictures just like this while we were on our Euro trip...

... spoiled... 

You'd think it was because when shining through the windows, it provides a little extra warmth.... and maybe it does... in most cases.
That would be awesome if the windows in our home provided some warmth, but they were replaced a few years ago aaand do not. These guys don't have to know that though...

Gearing up for St Patricks Day

They said they don't know about you guys, but Frank & Beans said they're pooped from the week (they live such a busy life and all...). They're resting up in preparation for the weekend. With St Patrick's Day this coming Sunday who knows what they'll get in to (maybe we'll even catch a glimpse next week!)

And then some more chillin'. Yesterday morning we were laying around and of course the boys were laying all across our laps and we came up with the following picture. Does it not look like Beans' head on top of Frank's body?  {cover up the top-right corner}

Ok maybe it's just us but we got a good laugh out of it.

Fuzzy Pink Blanket Friday

It's Friday.. and Frank & Beans are pumped! I asked them what they plan to do this weekend and this is what they showed me ....

{I translated that to "wrapping up in pink fuzzy blankets and watching movies all weekend like Frankenweenie" ...}

Sounds like quite a weekend, and a long weekend at that since we have Monday off! I'm sure a walk or two around the neighbhood will be in store to get these lazy bums up and moving.... have a good weekend everyone!

Favorite Hangout Spot

So one day over the holidays while I was cleaning I thought I lost Beans....

Turns out he was just stayin' warm by the heating vent....

"Gooosh.. why are you yelling my name? Can't a dachshund get a little sleep around here??"

This is Frank & Beans favorite new hangout spot around the house -- they park themselves right by the heat vent and just chill (heat up??) for HOURS... and it looks a little something like this...

Mundane Monday

The Frank & Beans household has been quite busy these past few days... between prepping Frank for his race this coming Friday, getting ready for the holidays, AND getting The Daily Frank & Beans ready for some exciting holiday happenings that should come up later this week (!!). 

As a result these little guys are pooped.. as evidenced by this picture we got of them the other night, chillin in Beans' big cage in the middle of all their blankets and towels.

And for some reason Frank is lookin' extra large in this picture...

Is it Friday yet?

Over the weekend we had a party at our house. Frank and Beans were pumped to host a few people over, and did an excellent job keeping the crowd entertained. Ok actually.. Frank was the official floor cleaner/food taster while Beans kind of hung back and just watched the action.

By about midnight both boys were tuckered OUT .. as evidenced by this cute picture. My favorite part is Beans' crazy hair all stickin up and out all over the place... AAAND they're all cuddled together in the smaller of the 2 cages.. LOVE IT! (and yes, that is Bean wearing his Tigers shirt for those wondering..)

Franks in a Blanket

Today I'm going to write about one of Frank's favorite activities... if you can even call it that (there's not much "activity" involved...)

It's wrapping himself up in the nearest blanket/towel/whatever he can find and then just looking so darn cute. I have so my pictures of this cutie all nuzzled up in a little "Frank Blanket" (as we call it). Usually he's got some type of stuffed animal with him... 

 If I were to go downstairs right now I'm sure I'd find him just like this.

Of course I'm not going to lie and say I don't 'assist' him if he appears to want some more tucking in.. as seen below...

If I were to get Beans in here we'd have a Frank 'n Beans burrito! ;)

 

... sigh .... This dog is so spoiled.....

"Could you get me a glass of water please? sparkling? with lemon?"

Blanket Buddies

These little guys are so cute. We found them yesterday evening all bundled up together in a blanket on the couch. How they get wrapped up this way is beyond us, but from the looks of it they don't have plans of getting up any time soon (and besides, Beans looks pretty focused on whatever is on the TV...)

 

 "You're not going to say the word 'outside?' any time soon, are you? Because we're real comfortable and don't want to have to get up if we don't have to ... "

Dedicated Fans

Happy Monday from Frank & Beans!
The boys had a great weekend. They did some squirrel watching and also went on a few walks where we met some other dogs in the neighborhood (including another dachshund!!!). Maybe we can get pictures to share next time!

Another activity that kept the boys busy this weekend was cheering on their Tigers...

Obviously we have some very dedicated fans who are  committed to ensuring the Tigers make it to the playoffs and the world series..

Puppy Dog Eyes Frank

Ok we're going back in time to August of 2011.
This is Frank's "I didn't do it!" look. The sad thing is, he didn't even do anything wrong in this picture. I think it was from on time when he was sick, actually.. so maybe it's more of a "Please let me just take a nap" look. As you can see some of his favorite toys were chillin' with him. We've got Lemiwinks and his orange "Bobo"...
