Blanket Buddies

These little guys are so cute. We found them yesterday evening all bundled up together in a blanket on the couch. How they get wrapped up this way is beyond us, but from the looks of it they don't have plans of getting up any time soon (and besides, Beans looks pretty focused on whatever is on the TV...)

 

 "You're not going to say the word 'outside?' any time soon, are you? Because we're real comfortable and don't want to have to get up if we don't have to ... "

Frankenweenie Friday!

Today's the day!

It's the day the movie Frankenweenie comes out!!

The boys are so excited about this movie - Frank has known about it since the spring! What they don't know is that they can't go see the movie, and will have to wait until it's available on DVD or Netflix so we can watch it at home.

Unfortunately the movie is not about a dachshund, BUT he' still pretty cute, and I love the name. It's about a little boy, Victor, who is trying to bring his dog Sparky back to life through a science experiment. That leads to a series of events and adventures. No spoilers here (because I don't know anything else about the movie!) - so you'll have to go see what happens for yourself!!

Triple Crown

In honor of Miguel Cabrera's Triple Crown win last night, Beans would like to take today's post and congratulate "Miggy" on his achievement.

Yep, that's right - Beans put on his  crown just for this special occasion. I'm sure there are a number of you shaking your head at this right now, but ... welcome to The Daily Frank & Beans :)

"I hope she's not planning on using this as my Halloween costume" 

For those who are not aware, Miguel Cabrera is a Detroit Tiger, of which Frank and beans are huge fans (evidenced here, here, and here). The Triple Crown refers to a batter who has led the league in batting average, home runs, and runs batted in (which has not happened since 1967).

Frankly Speaking

Frank, now that the fall TV season is underway, what TV shows do you recommend? 
Wow! Great question! There are so many excellent TV shows on right now it's hard to narrow it down to just a few. Shark Tank is by far one of my favorites as I come up with many ideas for inventions while sitting in my cage that could would really take off with some seed funding from a VC; would be great to work with Mark Cuban - Beans loves his hair!

Dancing with the Stars is another one on my must watch list.  I vote for Shawn Johnson (former US Gymnast) who happens to be just my size (4'11").  For my future date with Shawn I've been rehearsing my moves for my favorite song "Atomic Dog" by George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic from way back in 1982.  See video below,..it's a classic.

 

Lastly, American Horror Story is back for Season 2 with more chills and thrills for those with the nerve to watch (according to Beans).  Last season had Ben on the edge of his seat as he is a bit squeamish when it comes to the Horror genre.  Since the show is for a mature audience I get second hand information from Beans of which he always forgets to leave out the spoilers,.....

Happy Monday from Frank & Beans!
The boys had a great weekend. They did some squirrel watching and also went on a few walks where we met some other dogs in the neighborhood (including another dachshund!!!). Maybe we can get pictures to share next time!

Another activity that kept the boys busy this weekend was cheering on their Tigers...

Obviously we have some very dedicated fans who are  committed to ensuring the Tigers make it to the playoffs and the world series..

Squirrel Watching Weekend

We made it to Friday! Yay!
Frank wants to know what everyone is up to this weekend.. he says hes going to do lots of chillin' ... probably in one of his favorite spots - in a chair pushed right up to the front windows (with his favorite toys/stuffed animals, of course) so he can watch all the cars/people/squirrels/dogs that go by the house...

 And when that gets too strenuous, he might just curl up for a nap...
